Entrepreneurship Fair

From 2006, in the Center of Conventions and Exhibitions Plaza Mayor and other spaces of the city, the Entrepreneurship Fair is held. This is a space that seeks to promote with the Culture of the Entrepreneurship to inhabitants of Medellin through business conferences, commercial samples, award ceremony of contests, forums and celebrations. Those activities do not have any cost for the assistants and the access is free.

In the first version of the Fair E, held between September 27th and 28th, 2006, had a public of about 15.000 persons. It had a commercial sample of more than 150 companies belonging to the winning projects of the contests of Business Plans of Cultura E, Seed Capital, the Bank of the Opportunities and the Units of Business Entrepreneurship of the universities and institutions of superior education of Medellin.

Also credit applications were offered to more than 1.800 million pesos in the financial activities organized by the component Medellin my Company, led by Alcaldía de Medellín and Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Acopi and Esumer.

In the first version, there were also the launching of Entrepreneurship Incubators, directed to students of 10th and 11th grade of 181 official education institutions and 130 private schools of Medellin.

In 2007, the second Entrepreneurship Fair was held between September 27th and 29th. This version was provided with the presence of commercial samples, business conferences, business lounge, suppliers' lounge, the big forum of the entrepreneurship antioqueño, the award ceremony of the first Creative Ideas of Business Contest, the sixth Business Plan Contest, the New Companies from Results of Investigation Contest, and Creation of Innovative Companies Contest. Additional to this programming, the Park of the Entrepreneurship (Parque E) celebrated his first anniversary and the Mayor Sergio Fajardo Valderrama presented the General Balance of Cultura E.

Fair E has open doors to the inhabitants of Medellin who are interested in the Culture of the Entrepreneurship.
