Entrepreneurship Incubators

When an idea is going round and round your head: Do you use your creativity to give it form? Do you use your free time to strengthen it? Are you interested in the business plans? If your answers were affirmative and you are a student of 10 or 11 year, it is probably that you are interested in the Entrepreneurship Incubators of Cultura E.

The Incubators are spaces of playful learning, organized by Alcaldia de Medellin and supported by the Secretary of Education, in which, like student, you can develop your capacity of entrepreneurship and to acquire key competences to be an entrepreneur.

The intention of these Incubators is to sensitize and to form young people as you in the field of the creation and consolidation of companies. For that reason the students of 181 educational official institutions and of 130 privated schools of the city are invited to go into all the topics that the entrepreneurship needs.

The work in group, the innovation, the creativity, the solution of crisis and the handling of the information are some of the important aspects at the moment of forming entrepreneurs. This training belongs to the part of the programs that have received deep importance inside the strategic line ‘Medellin the most educated’, in which the alcalde Sergio Fajardo Valderrama has done special emphasis since it becomes stronger medellinenses both in the academic aspect and in the personal and social field.

In the Entrepreneurship Incubators have two levels: ‘beginner’ and ‘advanced’. In the first level you will be able to be educated in the following keycompetences of the entrepreneur:

• Creativity.

• Managing of the information.

• Use of technology.

• Resolution of problems.

• Project formulation.

• Team work.

• Personal domain.

• Creative ideas of business.

If you have already been present at the Incubators of Entrepreneurship, You are in the 'advanced' level. There you will develop the following competences:

• Creativity.

• To fix targets.

• Managing of the information (gather, organize and analyze).

• Business ideas.

• Project formulation.

• Obtaining of resources, marketing and sales.

• Devlopment of business plans and projects.

The Incubators are carried out during five consecutive Saturdays in two available schedules, of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 m and of 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There are 11 educational institutions located in different areas of the city, where you can receive the trainings, without importing if you study in them or not. These are:

To whom are they directed?

The Entrepreneurship Incubators are directed to the students of 10 or 11 year in one of 181 educational official institutions or one of 130 privated schools of the city that have been summoned by the Incubators, and who have business ideas or desires to undertake.

Requirements

• Have to wait for the call of Cultura E for the Entrepreneurship Incubators.

• For doing part of the Incubator you have to pay nothing, the inscription is completely free.

• Go to the web site www.culturaemedellin.gov.co, download the form, read the information and fulfill the fields with the information that asks for the form.

• If you have already been in the Entrepreneurship Incubators you have to specify it, of this depends that you are allocated at the level one ('beginners') or at the level two ('advanced').

• Then you have to wait that your selection were confirmed, this confirmation is done for e-mail or telephonically.

• The quotas are 3.000, so once you hear the call you have to scroll to register.
