Medellin my Company
Medellin my Company is a strategic alliance between Alcaldia de Medellin and the Chamber of Commerce of Medellin for Antioquia, with the support of the University Institution Esumer and the Association for the Small and Medium Company Acopi, which looks for the modernization of the business web and the strengthening of its productive, commercial and technological links inside the strategic sectors for the regional development, aimed at the national and international market.
Medellin my Company is created as a reaction to the result thrown by an investigation made by Planeación Municipal and the Chamber of Commerce of Medellin for Antioquia. This investigation demonstrated that the business sector and the economy of the city were not strengthened to confront the challenges of the globalization, the economic opening and the signature of new international trade agreements.
It is in that way as a work of strengthening that boots the potential sectors of development in the city starts.
To who is it directed?
The big companies, the medium ones, the small ones and microcompanies of Medellin and the Aburrá Valley that have its activity on the sectors of potential growth for the region. The public target aims at business that cover the following economic fields:
- Dressmaking of women’s underwear, casual and children’s clothes
- Housing construction
- Generation and distribution of energy
- Fruits and vegetables
- Furniture and verneer in wood
- Specialized services in health
- Business tourism
- Machinery and equipments
- Software
- Transportation
Requirements
• To have a micro, small, medium or big company in Medellin or Aburrá Valley.
• All the companies that want to take part must have one year old as a minimum of constituted, five direct employments, Business registry, Industry and Commerce, the disposition and the time to carry out the activities and tasks that from the project arise.
